At The Residence at Glen Riddle, we offer a full range of senior lifestyle options.
- Personal Care. For seniors who need more support with daily tasks or the assistance of an experienced caregiver, while still maintaining their independence and inspiring an active senior life, we offer personal care.
- Respite Care. In addition to personal care, we offer short-term respite stays. This is a great option for seniors whose primary caregiver may be out of town, or who needs time to rest and recover after a hospital stay or for someone who is being discharged from a rehab facility and is not quite ready to go home.
- Memory care. If a senior is facing Alzheimer’s disease or some other form of dementia, we offer a specialized memory care program that provides life-enriching activities in a safe and nurturing environment.

Personal care homes for seniors include supported living services. Personal care residents receive help with their day-to-day needs, such as cleaning, meals, bathing, and medication management. They also enjoy a full calendar of community activities that are designed to inspire seniors to make new friends and discover new hobbies.
While personal care homes for seniors provide supervision, support with daily needs, access to medical services, emergency response systems, and a medically trained staff, personal care homes are not designed to support residents who may need around-the-clock medical assistance or nursing. While The Residence at Glen Riddle does have an Age-in-Place model, we do not offer nursing care. If a resident’s needs become too great, they may need to transition from personal care into a skilled nursing facility, where they can receive 24-hour medical attention and supervision. Our senior care professionals can work with you to determine which level of care is the best fit for you or your aging loved one. We offer a full suite of senior care services and our diverse offerings focus on each resident’s unique personality, abilities, and preferred lifestyle.
As a part of our Tailored Preferences approach, we create personalized senior care plans for each resident, taking into consideration the seniors needs, desired level of independence or supervision, personal preferences, and their likes and dislikes.
Some seniors crave more independence, while others need more assistance with day-to-day routines; some seniors may be struggling with the early stages of dementia, other seniors may be fully functioning and want to do things on their own. We understand these differences and accommodate for individual needs and preferences.
To learn which option is right for you, contact one of our senior care advisors or take our Senior Lifestyle Survey.
We provide scheduled transportation for residents. We do have dedicated on-call doctors, podiatrists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physical therapists, but if one of our residents needs to see a specialist, we can always provide scheduled transportation to the appointment. Additionally, for resident activities or outings like trips to malls, casinos, or museum visits, we always provide transportation, and have a dedicated, licensed bus driver to ensure the residents’ safety.
Yes, while some of our personal care residents may be in the very early stages of Alzheimer’s, we have a specialized memory care program that’s specifically designed to create a safe and nurturing space for seniors facing memory loss. We design our memory care program to offer activities that stimulate the senses, trigger positive memories, improve cognition, encourage social bonding, and inspire affected seniors to feel more engaged with life. From art classes to hand massages to outings to the zoo, our Illuminations activities calendar offers a variety of programs for all of our memory care residents to enjoy!
